Am I starting to get it now? Is this all about the usual tussle of Who Owns Our Heritage? Maybe we could just have a Harry Hill style fight between the pagans and the archaeologists and anyone else who fancies having a go. And all this over somewhere where there's nothing to see. I'm impressed.

Perfectly straightforward piece of news management -- according to the Times, "archaeologists have announced....." Probably MPP himself put it out. The D Mail and Telegraph pieces have been worked on for some time -- this was no whispered leak. Maybe Profs W and D are about to announce their latest fairy story, and MPP had to get in first? Anyway, what's new? Wasn't this all in that TV prog about West Amesbury etc a few months back?
No point in getting apoplectic. I thought all archaeologists were supposed to be mad, anyway?

Love it. Most sensible thing I've heard. Who's right?

There's only one way to find out!

Ah, the voice of sanity. Perhaps we could get The Mail to report on the outcome:

"Pagan-Archaeologist Dispute Lowers Wiltshire House Prices"

Or maybe a dance-off?
