Althouigh much larger than what is planned for Stonehenge, I seem to recall the Rheged Centre in Penrith is built upon similar lines - it's built into/under an earthen bank, so is almost invisible from one side...
Isn't there a concern about the possibility of disturbing the archeology there?..
Shouldn't we keep the design simple and disturbance of the landscape to a minimum.
After all, It will be torn down and replaced at some point in the future (How every far that future is) and shouldn't We try to have as light a 'footstep' as possible?..
