An article suggests that some of the original architects (of a VC not the stones!) have been invited to submit new plans. What I don't understand is why DCMS are employing these people at heaven alone knows how much when it is supposed to be a temporary building. Isn't a structure off the peg ideal to save some cash that can be put into the longer term building?

Or is it DCMS has no intention of ever moving?

My understanding of the situation is that a parliamentary announcement is imminent and that a permanent visitor centre will be built at Airman's Corner or Fargo Plantation.

If it's to be the latter then there will be protests.

wasn't the current VC meant to be temporary?

Here:

http://www.stonehengevisitorcentre.org/#/home

there is a simple (loaded, in my opinion) survey (click on "Your Views")

Please go there and tell them what you think of their current plans.

More news - Western Daily Press headline, there is a shortfall in funding, the Stonehenge visitor centre and the proposed wing of the British Museum are both threatened by a lack of cash.

Anyone got a link?
