It's a long shot but one thing that struck me about the site was that it could have had a function similar to Varanasi ,a place where the dying went to die . At the time,while standing on one of the floors, he swept his hand around and speculated that there could have been hundreds of houses within the local landscape. We don't know; we can only count those which we have found, but there's plenty of room for more.
