Agreed again. How on earth did they come up with the idea that the Amesbury Archer's injury was caused by a horse riding accident? Was the horse domesticated at this period?
They also kept on calling SH Bronze Age. Correct me if I'm wrong (as if!) but I thought that most, if not all, the construction was Middle to Late Stone Age.
The blogs on the BBC's history site are pretty scathing too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbhistory/F2233812?thread=5912246

Nice photography though.
Jim.

Yes, I would suggest that the Archer's knee was sliced off with one of those nasty new bronze swords that are present in the historical record - but it's only a guess. The most important bit of evidence was the charred grain allowing the dating of a Bluestone pit. The bluestone chips just indicate that these stones were the most reworked ones on-site. Which isn't unusual as they're also the oldest and, arguably, the most revered!
