Yesterday, in the Commons, there was further debate about the plight of Stonehenge:

I see Robert Key is talking about planting trees next to both roads, he does'nt want to close the A344 because of the Winterbourne Stoke residents who will have more traffic passing their houses should the road shut. The whole point was the closure of the A344 to at least make one side of Stonehenge peaceful. Still at least they are debating the issue in public - hoorah -, and there seems to be a greater understanding of protecting the 'whole' landscape round Stonehenge... They've got about three and half years to go to find a solution ;(
