Ha!

LOL!!

No it wasn't my reply to the PS - I hadn't seen that til now! It was just more waffle about distribution of funding, and essentially agreeing with you that it's a separate issue & it's pointless, but talking about it is just an outlet!

As far as what Pete's saying is concerned, you'll Nigel's post 'Heritage Action and EH' http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/forum/?thread=20464 gives that situation better than I can! I think we'd welcome opinions on it iof the Eds don't mind, as I think quite a few of us have mixed feelings.

I'm pleased to see that Nigel's started a new thread in order to clarify the position between EH and HA regarding Silbury Hill - and to invite comments.

I'd like to clarify my position on emotive issues:

Stonehenge is an emotive issue.
Silbury Hill is an emotive issue.
Suffering and untimely death is an emotive issue.

They're all separate emotive issues which need to be discussed, err, separately. I just took the discussion of money spent on emotive issues to its logical conclusion.

:o)
