I'm confused.....again.

The situations at Stonehenge and Silbury Hill are two entirely separate issues.

The wheels began to turn for a solution to the mess at Stonehenge years before the large collapse at Silbury Hill. There is no connection whatsoever - other than they are both parts of World Heritage Sites which are in dire need of serious attention.

Stopping work on one wont assist the other site in any way whatsoever.

We could be having a serious discussion here about the Stonehenge visitors' centre but people seem to prefer to talk about Silbury Hill on this thread - a totally un-related topic, in my opinion.

:o)

Baz

I agree, but the connection is that £65 million could be better spent on Silbury and other sites instead

Well, not TOTALLY unrelated Baz. One's getting loadsamoney (rightly IMO too) spent on it & the other isn't. Whether this is the right thread for that discussion is (as ever) I agree (as ever!) debatable.

Yeah, in the world we live in , the 'Stonehenge money' has probably been allocated and couldn't now help Silbury. But that doesn't mean that peeps can't talk about the fact that they think that's wrong. I mean, ultimately, MOST of the time we're all just venting our feelings on here with no real hope or aim of changing owt.

As I said, the plans for Stonehenge seem quite good to me, but I do think the priorities of allocating the money are wrong when we (all?) think Silbury needs repairing....
