> 1. A Druid burial site near to Stonehenge (discussed on another thread here)

Why? No need.

> 2. All excavated human remains to be re-buried with a Druid ceremony.

Why? We can almost guarantee they didn't follow the same beliefs. A ceremony that states respect for whatever beliefs they held maybe (Ie one that does not seem to be posthumously converting them to a modern belief system)

Okay.....but the length of the tunnel is more important. Frankly if the tunnel is going underground, and doesn't disturb the site, then what's it matter?

Having said that, a ritual at the start of taking up the old roads seems entirely right.

The Highways Agency's plan is to maintain the present route of the A303 as a turnpike for use by any traffic which is unable to use the tunnel.

"Okay.....but the length of the tunnel is more important."

Too right. Druids get more than their fair share of press coverage, and if that means the NT's submission doesn't get reported, it's a bad thing.

3 years ago King Arthur and the druids were stars of the Silbury protest. EH must have been delighted and relieved.
This year, so far, the only widely reported protest about Silbury has come from a croppy professor who's mad as a badger.

Never mind. The age of reasoned criticism is about to dawn.
