Juat visiting the folks and saw this in the latest Amesbury Journal:
2pm, Saturday 23rd July.
County Archaeologist Roy Canham will lead a tour of sites on Salisbury Plain (Weather Hill, Silk hill).
Meet at Victor Tank Crossing, just south of Everliegh.
Contact Roy on 01225 713733 - he will send you a map.
Anyone going?

Just had the info through from Wilts cc.
"Visit will commence at Weather Hill examining traces of Bronze Age boundary earthworks, field systems and burial mounds and will then move to the outstanding round barrow cemetary on Silk Hill."
Be prepared for a 4 mile walk across country.
