I want to cast a bronze axe immediately. This may have to be arranged asap.
I know TT gets a right slagging off on this forum, as well as elsewhere, but I think it's the best archaeological/historical programme available on the moron magnet today.
The programme on the Dorset Ridgeway has highlighted an area rich in prehistory that the general public are generally unaware of. Only the likes of us (and locals), who seek out books on the subject, might know what there is there.
Some of the people who only go to Stonehenge and Avebury because "that's what you do" might just be tempted by the programme to venture away from the "coach tour" sites.
You are right, it was an interesting programme, and the bronze axe was breath-taking in its final, finished appearance. I've done some casting myself, and it's a very satisfying experience. Not done owt in broze, mind. I hope they can do more prehistoric specials.
All the best,
TE.
