Kingston Russell stone circle isn't too far - and I think it's one of the best in terms of its setting, etc. Well worth a visit, if you can find it.

you could visit golden cap, great views along the prehistoric dorset coastline and a good pub at seatown just off the beach.

or you could park up in the lay by near to the hellstone and then go to the valley of the stones, hampton down stone circle, kingston russell and the grey mare longbarrow.
