Also, forgot to say, but there’s a lovely puddingstone outside the old main entrance to Chelmsford Museum. The museum has a gallery dedicated to the Neolithic, with some spectacular hand axes on show (one a beautiful jadeite axe from central Europe) as well as information on the Chelmer (Springfield) Cursus. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
