I did ask about this stone some time ago. Subsequently, I did find out about its placement at Takeley and posted some details on the forum. Thanks for the link, I'm pleased that one of us has now visited it.

What I found of particular interest was the fact that it'd been placed in a pit during the Bronze Age, as if it had been ritually decommissioned for some reason.
