June, I'm glad you liked the maps (I am map mad. I think I missed a calling as a cartographer). It'd be nice if they had the county boundaries or a few towns on them - make it easier to see what's where. (also I've realised it's only the SW map that has the watershed boundaries marked, for some reason.)
I love your blog - as usual you have played things down and hid your light under a bushel! I love things like that - the 'hidden' aspects of places people usually dismiss. You've got so much information packed into those pages. I've been meaning to get over to Rushy Platt for ages - those wintery photos of it are so calming, they're great.
But I do have to argue about one thing - the south wiltshire rivers like the Wylye definitely head south away from the thames. But they do say the two ends of wiltshire are like chalk and cheese anyway.
