Question for Hob

Another query about this place Hob. I love the look of the place. Do you know if there's any dragon legends nearby as the word 'drake,' as y' probably know, usually derives from the word 'dragon' in old place-names. Is it an old dragon stone? I notice there's a stream running from the boulder called the Drakestone Burn, running to Harbottle village. Perhaps some dragon carvings in the church? Or am I just living in hope!? (there's no mention of the place in Screeton's 'Northumbrian Dragon Legends')

>Perhaps some dragon carvings in the church?
I didn't think of checking Paulus. Shall try and do so the next time I'm up there. As far as I'm aware there aren't any dragon orientated tales, DD Dixon wrote a book on The area about 1905, and I can't recall any mention of dragons. It's been a while and I don't own a copy. Must remedy that. I'll keep me peepers open though.

Not as much as I am if I think I'm going to find any hard evidence one way or the other about this basin thing that's up there ;)
