thanks for that, we might try that camp site at the weekend, tommorow we need somewhere we can stick our noses out of the tent and be there! I might have trouble on my hands if I try to wake our two year old at four in the morning!

Not too sure if camping at the circle will be allowed. You could always kip in the car on the road next to it.

You used to be able to camp at Castlerigg - well sleep there minus tent.

Swinside shouldn't be a problem, middle o nowhere and the farm nearby prob wouldn't have a problem.
