Hmm, you'd better ask him. He's the Megalithic Portal Person, if you're unfamiliar.

Of course, he might have copied it from wikipedia. In which case you're on a hiding to nothing :)

But even if it is a new idea, perhaps it's worth trying out I guess

Cheers Rhiannon, I'll check this out. There was - briefly - another reply to this thread that mentioned it might be a (very) modern appropriation, but the reply was taken down before I could read it on the site.

I wanted the source only to corroborate a rhyming phrase I'm using on a print about the tale, but I'm happy if it's quite a modern bit of folklore - they all have to start somewhere.

Just posted a photo to the Long Meg site listing. They're hanging to dry before I put them up for sale. 16 x 23 inches on lovely handmade Khadi paper.

I made a trip up there to study Meg before finalising the design and the skies were awesome, the design finished itself that day.
