Yes, that's a fairly common circle myth, Long Meg also has a standard "petrified women" myth as well. Less standard is the legend that Meg will bleed real blood if a piece is chipped off her, and even rarer, that violent storms and lightning will follow any attempt to disturb the stones.A real pity that last one was not real, and true for all megalithic monuments!
