Hmm that's all I could spot online! maybe you'll have better luck, Scubi. I've wandered through those woods (on the footpaths at least) and they have a curious atmosphere I'm sure. Also sound travels really far and you can't tell what direction it's coming from. The gold disc is superb isn't it. Not that it's all about Treasure though of course (let's not go there).

It is a bit of a weird wood, though of course it would'nt have been there when the settlement was there, iron age or not. I also had some stuff from Chance, Scubi, all I could find was Underwood's map of the stone boundaries.
Conkwell circle (disputed though) is also on that plateau, and of course there is Twinhoe as well, read somewhere that standing stones are incorporated into the farmhouse there (1960s WAM report) and Stoney Littleton nearby, plus of course another disputed few stones at Faulkner - all very mysterious but probably prehistoric stuff.....
