Here's a question....
I was up at Gamelands last thursday and the stones are absolutely covered in a gazillion tiny spiders ( I posted a couple of pictures ). Ive never seen anything like it. Surely spiders dont live in colonies and it seems like a strange time of year for them to be hatching out. My dad ( a venerable country man) reckoned that they must have known it was going to rain and got onto the higher ground !
Anyone noticed anything similar anywhere else ? Anyone know anything about the life cycle/style of spiders ? It was truely an astonishing sight.
And never mind the explanations...just please, if you're up there, don't squish the spiders.
