3 New (Old) Round Barrows Found at Wentwood Forest

I was reading through a recent Archaeological Survey and during the survey they found three rounds barrows. One of which was recorded in CADW.

One of the barrows is along the ridge line not far from existing barrows. The new barrow was mentioned in a document in 2005. However, I've ridden past this mound on many occasion and noticed it in 2000 and often bored others riders that that mound must be a barrow of some description.

Possible prehistoric trackway found.

Pretty cool to get it confirmed by an independent survey. Later I'll add these sites.

Other things found include:

All post medieval:
Hundreds of Charcoal Burning Platforms
Dam
Saw Mill Site
Structure Complex
Some Quarries
Saw Pits
Shafts and Adits

Hey, very observant! how nice to have your speculation Officially confirmed. As for "often bored others riders that that mound must be a barrow of some description" that made me smile - you are itching to tell someone but when you do you can see their poor eyes start glazing. I'm sure it happens to most people here. Ah, at least you can tell us.
