Yes I bleedin' would. But -

"put a fiver in the collection boxes"
That would be fine, just as sending money to the guardians of megalithic sites would be good too, much better than leaving stuff.

Aahh you're in it for the money then! Can't you take care of your local circle without needing money? Perhaps just the joy of being in that place should be payment enough? Fuel costs to get there? Call it a tithe, I do.
