Actually your chap wasn’t far wrong judging by Fitz’s description and photographs although it seems the sun rose a bit further to the north, I’m glad someone found that plan useful though because it took bl**dy ages to annotate, otherwise I would have posted it on the Thursday.
I think I must have watched every TV weather forecast I could find on Friday/Sat morning waiting for one to show clear skies over the Lakes for Sunday but by mid Saturday afternoon I had given up and spent the rest of the day moping around, mindyou, looking at the Castlerigg pictures today… hmmm… wonder what the weather forecast for *this* weekend is… ;-)
