I've passed that corroboration on to Mrs H (for it was she who related this to me, from her visit there before we'd met) and she was tickled pink. I susect she never really thought I believed her.

As to the reason, it's irrelevant really, it's just good that there was no damage. But, speaking of wind damage, it's getting a bit blowy. Mebbe you should pull that washing in from the back of your Sherman ;)
