Hi, thanks for that.

You mentioned 4 points. Which did you mean? I was only thinking about three - the S-S-S alignment (though as a separate issue, the view of WKLB from Silbaby seems particularly impressive IMO).

I'm not "convinced" about it being intentional either. I was just posing a humble question.... does "very accurate" signify a heightened likelihood? ;)

In musing about this elsewhere I've come up with a further possible dimension - literally. See this - Silbury from the Sanctuary, with Silbaby hidden by the trees - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/19965

Silbaby is lower than Silbury obviously - but what about Silbury 2? Would the Sanctuary and the top of Silbury and the top of Silbury 2 all be in a line? Not a two dimentional exact alignment but a three dimensional one....

Aren't the chances it is "chance" reducing dramatically?

Correction -

"Silbaby is lower than Silbury obviously - but what about Silbury 2? Would the Sanctuary and the top of SILBABY and the top of Silbury 2 all be in a line? Not a two dimentional exact alignment but a three dimensional one....

Silbury - The Sanctuary and West Kennet - Falkner's Circle and of course the fifth Silbaby . Will have a look at the rest of your post but had better get my tax forms filled in .

I don't think so , a couple of degrees out would almost make it more likely

have you checked the grid ref derived from GPSU to see if it matches Silbaby

I don't know anything about Silbury 2 ,any info grid ref ?

revised grid ref for the crossing points of Silbury - Sanctuary and W Kennet -Falkner's Circle = SU 10527 68437 . Is that close to Silbaby ?
