Pete, the illustration you posted - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/53578 - does show a big bump where Silbaby is, so it certainly isn't spoil from the later road enhancements. Nice.

We have also ruled out that it is not the spoil from inside Silbury although where all this missing soil actualy is is still a mystery.
