Quite, and so I hope you will not be offended if I (and perhaps others) refer to the mound as the Great, or Girt, Bank :-)

You can call it what you like but I have research material that shows the Girt Bank is the bank that butts up against the road and not the mound.
I should write a book....sigh - if only...
