I am posting a large number of images of the rock art site known as the Football Cairn, this is a site recorded in the "Prehistoric Rock Art of Northumberland" by Stan Beckensall. In the book Stan recorded a number of motifs that have now been badly eroded away, some if not all of the carvings are now lost to us. The images i am posting are intended to be a permanent record of what is now left on the panel before they are gone. I know a number of the images may seem similar, but each images is showing something slightly different, and may only be apparent when looking at the Beckensall book at the same time.
Please do not remove any of the images.
