Glandwr churchyard

Hi Grendel

ta for the info - it was a lovely stone, with really clear ogham markings. Am def going back to that part of the world first chance i get, cos like you say there are so many stones around there - saw loads but also missed loads. Strange to see stones in chrichyard, but I have heard that churches were built around sites that were already sacred to the local community.

Do you know what the name means? I have been trying to find names for the stones I saw in Wales the other week but havent got very far!

cheers

Blonde,

We visit the area regularly as Grendel's mother lives south of Cardigan. We've posted our images on www.megalithic.co.uk and these include many stones in churchy locations (many may have been re-used standing stones Christianised). Kammer is populating TMA in a similar manner.

Good hunting - there's enough in Pembs to keep you going for the best part of a lifetime!

Cheers
