Hallo Goffik and Kammer

I think that Kammer's Harold Stone is the same as mine - I just looked at all the pics we took there and that photo was chosen for the site cos the light was best - it does make it look different to the others. It has the same grid ref as the one that Kammer spotted, mostly cos i had a TMA printout that I took on holiday with us. So a big 'ta' to Kammer, it was your postings that helped me find a lot of the stuff we saw.

Goffik my dear I will wave the map under your nose and show you all these springs sometime. You and Mrs G would have loved it - we did spare you a thought several times as we enjoyed the squelchy feelings in our boots !!!! Still, the stones were well worth it...

Dim problem (as they say in these parts). Welcome to TMA Blonde. It's always nice to meet new people with a genuine enthusiasm for old lumps of rock.

Are you completely nuts about prehistory, or do you just have a healthy interest?

You learn to love it..!

Do you remember the first time we went to Swallowhead Spring in the torrential rain and force 10 gales, through the boggy field and through the stream... only to be thwarted by the fact that we were the wrong side of the river? Me and Mrs G were going to wade across if you weren't there! Silly sods. When we went back, we found the really easy dry path that leads right to it... :o)
