Jim,
If you'd like to come back and help at dusk sometime I would use a lamp to show off the shadows.
We did this at the Cup Marked stone with Hob and it worked brilliantly.
Is the stone in Wilts or Hants or on the border?

Sounds a good idea, we'll have to make a date. Go and have a look in daylight anyway and see what you think. It's in Wilts but the Hants border is close by.
