not a circle as such, but did you see that Dan Cruickshank programme about Bath?

you know that famous bunch of grand houses in Bath, built in a big circle (I think by the same guy who was involved in a similar bunch of houses in Edinburgh's New Town)? I can't remember the name of them sorry, but I know they're on the itinerary of all the open-top bus tours (Guide Friday?)

well apparently that circular formation has exactly the same diameter as Stonehenge!

Hmmmmm...

I woder if that's The Circus? We'll probably pass through that on the way to the Royal Crescent - the architecture in Bath is pretty blummen fantastic, so yes - whatever we do, we'll certainly enjoy it!

I was just hoping for some wells... :(

There's a book I'm hoping to pick up from [insert shop name here] when I get there - not stocked in Southampton, unfortunately - "Holy Wells of Bath & Bristol Region" by Paul Quinn (Published by Logaston Press, 1999 - ISBN 1-873827-90-3) - should be just wot I'm after!
