Thanks moss! I was a bit worried that because I'd focused the composition on the owl and not the stones that it might not strictly have 'enough megalithic content' according to the image posting guidelines. But no one has objected so far...

So do I, only seen them on screen like white ghosts floating over the Somerset levels, but the owl I've heard are the little owls that called up and down the valley; also one year heard a young one - they sound like a 'creaky gate'. Think its the colour of the sky set against the owl and the stones below that gives it such impact......

Why should they!! It's a wonderful image/painting, your field notes/images along with Moths about France are magic. I look forward to seeing more!! More paintings please! (On your web site?)
