Hi Folks

Only a week to go until the benefit showing of 'Standing with Stones' at the Chipping Norton Theatre in aid of the Rollrights Trust. (Chipping Norton is in Oxfordshire, about 2.5 miles from the Rollright Stones).

Just so Rupert & I know, who of you Modern Antiquarians have already booked for the evening of the 15th? I'd love to know who we should look out for. I know that Jane & Moth are coming (Jane will be showing some of her paintings in the foyer) but I'd love to know who else.

At this moment there are 69 seats left out of 213 and I am playing to have them all filled - so if you haven't booked yet and would like to come, best book now.

Just to remind you, tickets are £10.00 each and are bookable online at http://www.chippingnortontheatre.co.uk or from the box office on 01608 642350. As you know, all proceeds will go to the Rollrights Trust.

Details about 'Standing with Stones' are available here: http://www.standingwithstones.com .

All best wishes and looking forward to seeing you there ...

Michael.

Hi Michael,

I should be able to make it next week.

As a matter of fact If anybody wants to share the petrol costs and get a lift from the Chippenham area up to Chipping Norton (or wants to be picked up along the way) and back, I have room for up to four reasonably size peeps.....just email me and I will see what I can do.

Hi Michael

I would just like to say I thoroughly enjoyed the evening at Chipping Norton, it was great to meet both Rupert and yourself as well as Jane and Moth and Bruce.
I thought the question and answer session with you both at the end was most interesting especially the part about the reasons for building such places as Stanton Drew and the like. Your enthusiasm certainly shone through.

Sorry I didn't get round to saying goodbye but had to get back for Rex.

Hopefully we will meet again at the Megameet at Avebury

:o)

I attended the (Standing with Stones) evening at the Chipping Norton theatre. It was nice to meet Michael, Rupert and the team. Well done on a fantastic documentary! It was the amount of information collected over a life time that I found most interesting but also the respect given to our Ancestor's portrayed in the presentation that made it so enjoyable.
