Thanks for that, Hob. I've now managed to place some other of my photos against the archive and updated my few posts. It's a wonderful resource. Stan's eye for the faint cup is unrivalled. I'm new to this site but it may make sense to add the Beckensall references where we can. It doesn't seem appropriate to create new sites for every rock in Northumberland even if we had the time, and some are of very minor interest except to us "rock hounds". Keep up the good work.

Agreed on all points. Though if it's a cluster of marked rocks, or ones not previously recorded, it's probably worth posting up here, there's nowt but rockhounds in this neck of the internet ;)

I enjoyed the Ministry of works sign Andy.
I have toyed with the idea of nicking this sign, thus forcing them to erect a new one, plus it's an object of desire for me in itself. I have decided against it as it has now come to symbolise the neglect of what is one of the most important panels of rock art in the British Isles, if not Europe.
