Not out of line on here at all as I suspect quite a few people here may want to attend. I wish you all the luck there is in sorting out the problems and that you can still go ahead as planned*. As is often the case these events become victims of their own success.

However, I would point out that someone denying you access to their private land is not stopping you being a Druid somewhere else. He can say that he won't allow you on his land just because it's the first Wednesday in the month if he wants to. In fact, unless there's a legal contract giving access rights, he doesn't have to give any reason if there is no public right of way.


*I have no sympathy with regard to the Morris Dancing though :-)

Your point about private land is entirely true, BUT the Council have leased the land for public use.

That is where the legal ambiguity lies in my view.
