Just had another look, and 2 miles north og Kits would put you smack in the middle of the taxiway for Rochester Airport, so I doubt there's anything there.

The possible hillfort I mentioned is another couple of miles north from there.

...and the possible hillfort turns out to be a Victorian Defense Fort, finished in 1889. It was the largest of the forts of the `Chatham Ring', and is now used as a car depot!
