Recent Damage

Sad to see a little stone like this getting damage from what's presumably just carelessness on the part of the farmer. Is it scheduled? It might be worth notifying the RCAHMS (or whoever deals with these things). Perhaps I'm being naive to think anyone really cares though.

I assume it's not scheduled as I can't find anything about it in the RCAHMS database Canmore - but that doesn't mean a lot. It definitely 'feels' right as I said in the fieldnotes - having visited hundreds just like it. But it is certainly being abused. Didn't have time to do much about it on the day I took the photos, which was just before coming home (I'd been on a family holiday, if I had been knocking about on my own I might have taken time out to do more).

I'm surprised it's lasted that long considering how thin it actually is. You wouldn't have thought you'd have to be that 'careless' to break it completely would you.
