funny- was just going to mention the GMS report I heard on the way in to work this morning. the way they were talking it sounded pretty grim. Much of the archaeology has been exposed and they may have problmes saving it. They are going to try and keep as much of it in situ as possible, but things like the stones underlining the earth scarps near the summit have all been exposed- I guess these are in serious danger of just falling down the steep sides of the Law. The reporter said most of it looked like the surface of the moon. Sad, very sad. It's one of my fav East Lothian sites for its importance in our past, but also it's outlook and views. I was thinking of trying to get down to have a look at it in the next few weeks- I'll let yas know if I get a chance. To think only last year I was running about the summit in me burfday suit ;) (the photos of which have mysteriously disappeared from this site;))))
