Puck, yes, but in English folklore (where he's the will-o-the-wisp) more than in Shakespeare.

Also very relevant - he is puck, basically. "Hob" was a shortened form of "robin" in medieval times and this links the Hobs of northern lore with Bu - also of relevance here is the word "hobgoblin", and the fact that Robin Goodfellow was said to be the king of the Hobs.
