Totally understand that Pete, though i'm an inherent trespasser myself i'd never lead a group on a mass trespass.
I was once marched off someones land at the end of a shotgun, i was allowed to speak during the 1/4 mile walk though and managed to win the guy over and was allowed access. : )

If I take more than two people up there I always phone and check it's ok.
I have been accosted by a Man who asked who I was and checked me out by phone before leaving me to explore the stones for more polishing marks.
There are several up there but the famous one is by far the best,
