Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert`s book The Orion Mystery was published in 1994. There was a TV prog to promote the book.

It could just be coincidental, but the three pyramids at Giza DO correlate to the stars in the Orion belt, for position and relative brightness.

I can`t see how the siting of these three pyramids can be put down to geology or geography, as there was plenty of space elsewhere.

It`s not known why any of the pyramids are located where they are.

Ta baza.

As I said my memory of the program is hazy and I could well have got my facts mixed up. It could be the prog that I saw was aimed at disproving Bauval and Gilbert’s theories, as I’m sure I only watched it within the last couple of years.
Again, at Giza, I could well be wrong but I think it suggested that the economic situation was deteriorating leading to the smaller size of the later pyramids and that the smallest one was offset due to the shape of the rock outcrop they were built on.

Or I could just be talking b*ll*x. :-)
