How come it's ok to talk about lunar alignments or solar aligments but when I mention stella aignments do I get labelled with a new age tag?
All cultures, both modern and ancient place some significance on the night sky.
If you accept theat the megalith builders navigated the seaboard of atlantic europe then you must admit that they used the stars for navigation, the hunters of the neolithic would have used the stars to plot the seasons and the migrations of the herds.
These ideas are not new, Burl discusses stella alingments at length, is he new age?

Stella alignments are far more likely in most places than solar if you ask me (which you didn't, did you?)

The Great Pyramids are said to represent Orion's Belt quite acurately ... apparently.

What would be impressive is that on a particular day (when Orion was low) you could get the stars of the belt to sit atop a three stone alignment - one per stone like ickle twinkly crowns. Then I think you'd have something.
