Does anybody know if they are going to specify which stones are original and which are not?
The old stones, in the sense that they have been standing for some time, although not in their present positions, are much darker than those which have recently been dug out of the ground.

I spoke to someone from Oxford Archaeology on the open day there, and she happily told us in some detail about the restoration, including which are original stones, and which are in the original positions.

Without all my photos in front of me, I can't remember how many, or which ones, but am sure it's available online somewhere. I'll dig out my leaflets sometime cos I'm sure they have all that info on there as well.

Would be good to go back there and see how well it's weathered since it was officially unveiled! The new stones really stood out from the old ones like gleaming beacons... Wonder if they're settled in since?

The henge is also massively impressive! An inspirational site that could so easily have been left to disappear...
