just got an update from my contact:

"both SEPA and SNH objected to the development and asked the developer to provide further
information on Flood risk and foul drainage by SEPA and visual impact, wintering water foul, otters and bats by SNH. This information was requested in July last year and was not forth coming.......... Apart from that 40%+ of the proposed site was under 5-6 foot of water two weeks ago and this was
without snow on the hills..........Our campaign goes on as vigorously as before and hopefully at some stage the proposal will be put before the planning committee and rejected.

Cheers
Andy

A giant film studio in Perthshire, first heard of this a couple of years ago, didn't they originally market the scheme under the name of Gleneagles, got themselves into a lot of hot water from .... yes you've guessed..... Gleneagles....

...and after a lot of original hype it all just sort of faded away .....
in an ideal world, I'd love a film studio AND ancient monuments in Perthshire ..... but when you think of it .... sane head on ..... film studio in Perthshire???
... more than a touch of the Brigadoons about that idea.

It was a none starter from the word go...... I'm sure The Belhie and our other stone friends can rest easy from the world of movie moguls for a few millennia more ...... or at least until global warming brings the California sun to the Silvery Tay.
