"How far from the road are the stones?"

They're just a few yards away from the road almost directly behind Rey Cross, which was moved when they widened the road.
If you didn't know it was there .......It's a very depressing site/sight.
I'd recommend Lunehead tho' a jolly little circle in a crackin landscape and only ten or so minutes from Brough.
