Intrigued to read from the notice board at Coldrum that a stone upon the western arc of the kerb was possibly used to 'polish' axes.... presumably when still erect. I've posted a couple of pics of what the Mam C and I (independently) reckon to be the stone in question.....

Needless to say the thread left poor Coldrum way behind!

Just to say that if any member finds his/herself at Coldrum some time don't forget to have a look at the stone in question..... more or less opposite the chamber. More eye witness accounts are in order, me thinks.
