It is sad about the trees, but trees do die and more trees will be put in their place (the trees in question can be seen here in the top photo of the Cove by the way - http://aveburymatters.blogspot.com/ ). Perhaps what is most sad though is that the trees were planted by Keiller, and their cutting down is another bit of the Keiller Heritage (along with Bonds Garage) that is about to be lost.

As if we don't have enough manmade foolishness at Avebury to contend with, we now have this natural disaster as well.
