I could supply you with a gel candle that would burn for ten days, fill your house with the scent of a hundred wild flowers and would never need attention or start smoking as it has a self-trimming wick.
I'll take a couple of dozen of such candles :-) plus a few of those with Roman numerals that tell the hour (for when the old clock on the bookcase finally gives up the ghost ;-) A few of those, and a clockwork radio, and the collapse might be quite tolerable.
